Dear friends and readers,

Big Island, which is sometimes also called Hawai'i, what may easily lead to misunderstandings, because Hawai'i is also the name of the entire state (= all islands).

My sunscreen had to be sacrificed at Honolulu Airport in a security screening :-) I had used it scarcely, and if so, I got sun burnt as well. Neither in Malaysia nor in Australia I had ever used sunscreen (for 2 months) and didn’t get sun burnt. Now, in Hawai'i on the Isle of O'ahu , it was strongly recommended before taking the ship. Ok, so I used it and got sun burnt.

Dear friends, dear readers!

Our minor intelligence and ego are an absolutely brilliant pair. :-) They keep us occupied in wakefulness and also uninterruptedly during sleep transition states. This is not without reason. So we are massively linked to the matter, to the materie. It seems we are trapped and mostly we don’t even notice.

Our ego wants more and more and more and our minor intelligence promises with attracting thoughts: “If we achieve the next stage we will be happy forever!“ As a result there is a permanent pursuit of “happiness“. From my point of view, this makes it undoubtedly clear that we’ll NEVER reach the desired “happiness“.

Last night, Hedy and I did the very intimate Prishti meditation which only works through the third eye and makes the access to the partner’s inner movement possible.
Today, I’m flying to Christchurch. Before, I was standing in lines for a very long time at the Sydney airport. I’m slowly getting used to it, it is a good exercise for my lack of patience anyway. The flight takes about 3 hours. Robyn, my new host, is kind enough to pick me up at the airport. We don’t know each other at all. Suddenly she’s standing in front of me so I speak to her. It is as simple as that.
We are having a three course dinner for 5 couch surfers!! John, Robyn’s partner, tells me what else I can do and visit in New Zealand. The house of my hosts is located in the South of Christchurch, in amidst greenery.

Arrive punctually at 2.30 p.m. at Hedy in Telopea, Sydney. At the villa "Reduced Circumstances". Welcome to the flat  followed directly by a tour of features which are important for a hitchhiker: bed, toilet, shower, washing machine, kitchen including refrigerator. Hedy is a wonderful young woman at my age. We immediately get along well with each other. Her library contains some books that I also own but almost all books are from the content identical to my library.

Arrive safely in Darwin after a 3 and a 1/2 hours flight. It is monsoon season! 30-35°, 95% humidity . During the flight Mother earth was shown below me in all colours - really all. It is deeply moving. I check in at Elkes Backpackers in Darwin. Every room is airconditioned and has a fridge and there is a swimming pool :-)
